01

What the links are

CounterCrispHaven is a participant in the Amazon Associates program. Links from this site to Amazon product pages carry a tracking tag, and if you buy something after following one, this site may earn a commission. You pay the same price either way; the commission comes out of the seller side of the transaction, not yours.

Every such link is marked with the rel attributes nofollow, sponsored, and noopener, which is how a link of this kind is supposed to be declared to browsers and search engines.

02

The conflict this creates

An affiliate site earns more when you buy more machines, and a site about counter space ought to be telling you when not to. Those two pressures point in opposite directions and pretending otherwise would be dishonest, so here is how this one is handled.

  • Every appliance type page carries a block naming what that machine does not replace, and a frequency threshold below which the footprint is not worth it.
  • Every kitchen page carries a block naming the appliances to skip in that room, which is the opposite of a shopping list.
  • The overlap section exists to identify when a second machine buys you nothing at all.
  • No product is ranked by anything other than what its listing states, and no position in a lineup is for sale.

Editorial rules that are not negotiable

Specifications are quoted from the seller listing and attributed. Where a listing states no wattage, this site states none. Coating descriptions such as PFAS-free, ceramic, non-toxic, or titanium reinforced are reported as listing statements and never as verified facts, and no product is compared to another on coating safety. No page claims that anything here has been tested.

The reasoning behind those rules, and the rest of what this site refuses to do, is on About This Site.

Questions

If something on a product page looks like an undisclosed relationship, ask. The address is on Contact, and corrections are made in public rather than quietly.
